This is a live classroom training session in accordance with DOT Rule 49 CFR Part 40 Section 40.33 to qualify participants to become urine drug testing collectors in accordance with  “DOT Urine Specimen Collection Procedures Guidelines.” Students should be familiar with these Guidelines and may download a current copy from Urine Specimen Collection Guidelines. You may also take this class for qualified refresher training required every 5 years.

 

Live classroom training includes Initial Proficiency Demonstration by performing five consecutive error-free mock collections. Certificates of Completion will be issued. Four hours CEU.

 

Your instructor, has many years' experience as a Certified MRO Assistant, Drug Screen Collector/Trainer and Breath Alcohol Technician.

 

Drug Free Business will be conducting this training at least once each quarter at our new Bothell, WA offices. Space is limited to a maximum of eight (8) persons per class. This is a live, two and one-half hour training program which satisfies federal training requirements for supervisors of Commercial Drivers (382.603 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations - mandated two (2) hour seminar.)

 

Teach supervisors to determine when a driver's behavior and/or appearance provides reasonable suspicion that the driver has violated the regulations and the company's policy.

 

Teach supervisors how to comply with DOT drug/alcohol testing regulations.

 

Certificate of Completion will be issued to registered attendees only. Two and one-half hours CEU. We can only issue Certificates of Completion to those we can confirm actually attended, stayed for the full length of the training, and participated in the quiz, i.e. those who registered through the on-line webinar system - and logged in using the unique link sent to you after registration.

Note: This is NOT the D.O.T. mandated two hour supervisor training. (See above) It is similar, in that it covers recognizing the substance abuser, reasonable suspicion, etc., but it does not cover the DOT/FMCSA drug testing regulations that a supervisor must know.

 

This is a live, two hour training program delivered by Webinar to your desktop.  The purpose is to teach (non-D.O.T.) supervisors and managers to determine when a worker's behavior and/or appearance provides reasonable suspicion that the worker has violated the company's drug testing policy. What triggers a reasonable suspicion test? Signs and symptoms of drug or alcohol abuse, confronting the worker, the Five Steps in making a reasonable suspicion determination will all be covered. What to do after the test. What documentation is recommended.
